What Foods Can I Eat With Braces?

You can eat most of the foods you are eating now.  However, in order to minimize breakage of your braces (which could delay completion of your treatment) you should not eat or chew the following things:

bulletFoods containing hard caramels
bulletIce cubes
bulletGummy bears
bulletLaffy taffy
bulletCorn on the cob
bulletNow-or-laters
bulletSugar babies
bulletSugar daddies
bulletUnpopped kernels of corn
bulletTootsie rolls
bulletNuts, or anything with nuts in it
bulletTops of ink pens
bulletJolly Ranchers
bulletGranola Bars
bulletGranola cereal
bulletHard candy like peppermints
bulletBubble gum or chewing gum
bulletSkittles
bulletWhole apples
bulletStarburst
